Public Advocates

Advocates and investigators seeking to promote the interests of persons with a decision-making disability and to protect them from abuse, neglect or exploitation.

Public and Adult Guardians

Guardians seeking to promote the interests of persons with a decision-making disability and to protect them from abuse, neglect or exploitation.

Boards and Tribunals

The power to appoint guardians or administrators to make decisions in the interests of adults who have a decision-making disability. Boards and Tribunals also have power to oversee the actions of these substitute decision-makers.

Public and State Trustees

Appointed by a person under an enduring power of attorney or appointed by a Board or Tribunal. Public and State Trustees can manage a person's financial and legal affairs and, in this way, promote their interests.
